Brazil has plenty of kite spots, mainly in the north. We studied, found many interesting places where we could have taken our classes and then dropped all those too difficult to reach, such as Jericoacoara. The easiest one, and also globally famous, is Cumbuco, a satellite town of Fortaleza. We took a good night bus to get there. How we know it was good? Due to its manager.
Cumbuco is very nice, and so is our hostel. The best we have ever had. The vibe is so positive. There are people spending months here, just kiting. The town is small but it has everything, bars, shops, restaurants. And we couldn’t resist to our first caipirinha! It develops all along the ocean. And the ocean is blue, green, light blue, almost violet. When you can spot it, among the thousand kites and kite surfers. It’s really a mess! People here do really only kite, literally. And us, too!
