From below Quito has a beautiful historic downtown. Walking there is nice, and most with the blue sky we found. To be honest though, what intrigued us the most was the MUNA. The Museum dedicates a whole floor to gender differences in ancient cultures. Studying the iconography of those civilizations they can tell that Latin machismo (in Ecuador it’s still, sometimes, considered right and just) have roots in the culture brought by the Europeans.
In Quito we did a “normal” life; beautician for Sele, haircut for Dave and, thanks to Alessandra, we even had a Sunday bbq! So lovely!
